The Challenge

Dreaming in Data

As an agency, we’ve always been captivated by what’s possible when you bring intelligence, privacy, and user experience into harmony. Our work with Ensighten challenged us to take a visionary leap forward—crafting experiences around complex mobile analytics and patented technologies (like US 8,997,081) that enabled dynamic, uncompiled updates.

The real opportunity? Making data powerful without making it creepy. We set out to create experiences that respect the user while delivering deep insight—leveraging responsive design, intuitive interactions, and beautifully layered data visualizations across all devices and connectivity environments.

The Approach

Capture, Identify, Clarify, Optimize

To unify five distinct digital products into a single, seamless omnichannel marketing solution, we brought together a cross-functional dream team of UX designers, developers, and product managers. Our Agile approach ensured design and development moved in lockstep—from research and requirements to launch.

We championed the user experience at every phase, evangelizing design decisions and iterating with stakeholders to bring the product vision to life. Regular check-ins with senior product and development leads helped us keep the project nimble, manage change with confidence, and clear blockers before they became obstacles.

The Discovery

Customer Observations

Our process started at the whiteboard—breaking down industry norms, examining assumptions, and exploring the “why” behind each user interaction. We used competitive insights as a launchpad, not a limitation, and intentionally questioned everything.

By putting real users at the center—via focus groups, heuristic evaluations, and field studies—we gathered crucial insights: Were we solving existing pain points or introducing new friction? The answer shaped how we designed, refined, and validated every feature. The result? An elegant suite of applications built on data-driven decisions and a noticeable uptick in engagement post-launch.

The Vision

Lead by Design

Ensighten’s ambition was bold: become the global leader in data privacy and omnichannel data management. And we were here for it. At the start of our engagement, only one product had hit the market—another was in development. We partnered closely with their R&D team as they worked to define the next four.

Their users—marketers, web developers, engineers—spanned a broad spectrum of technical fluency. So, we made usability a non-negotiable. Every interface was crafted to meet users where they were while guiding them where they needed to go. Education and onboarding were baked into the design strategy from day one, ensuring that each feature was not only intuitive but teachable.

Our core customers, the boots on the ground, are the marketing developers, web developers, and software engineers inside the companies served. Their technical abilities ranged dramatically, creating a challenge when defining an experience and design that would meet the demands and technological familiarity with design objects, terminologies, and data parsing practices.

With every new interface developed, a plan for educating the customer was never an afterthought. Education was critical to the product team's thought process and strategy by running through each feature and interface nuance. Testing every aspect of the experience, we designed a simple method for training new and existing users.

Detailed Design

Data-Driven Design

Designing at this level isn’t just about making something look great—it’s about making it work beautifully. We rooted every creative decision in human-centered design principles, asking: Is this helpful? Is it extensible? Is it joyful to use?

By combining analytics, field observations, and design intuition, we created a product ecosystem that was both robust and remarkably usable. When form and function come together with intention, the experience doesn’t just serve users—it empowers them. That’s where we believe great product design lives.
